Jeremia 1, 1 - 9 - 2, 17 - 19:

In diesem Buch sind die Worte Jeremias aufgeschrieben. Er war ein Sohn Hilkijas und stammte aus einer Priesterfamilie aus Anatot, das im Stammesgebiet von Benjamin liegt.
Jeremia empfing Botschaften vom Herrn ab dem 13. Regierungsjahr des judäischen Königs Josia, des Sohnes Amons.
Auch später noch sprach der Herr zu Jeremia, während der Regierungszeit des judäischen Königs Jojakim, des Sohnes Josias, bis zum 5. Monat des 11. Regierungsjahres König Zedekias, der auch ein Sohn Josias war. In diesem Monat wurden die Einwohner Jerusalems in die Verbannung geführt.

Eines Tages sprach der Herr zu mir:
"Ich habe dich schon gekannt, ehe ich dich im Mutterleib bildete, und ehe du geboren wurdest, habe ich dich erwählt. Du sollst ein Prophet sein, der den Völkern meine Botschaften verkündet."
Ich aber erwiderte: "O nein, mein Herr und Gott! Ich habe keine Erfahrung im Reden, denn ich bin noch viel zu jung!"
Doch der Herr entgegnete: "Sag nicht: Ich bin zu jung! Zu allen Menschen, zu denen ich dich sende, sollst du gehen und ihnen alles verkünden, was ich dir sagen werde.
Fürchte dich nicht vor ihnen, ich bin bei dir und werde dich beschützen.Darauf gebe ich, der Herr, mein Wort."
Er streckte mir seine Hand entgegen, berührte meinen Mund und sagte: "Ich lege dir meine Worte in den Mund ..............

(predige Jerusalem:)
..........Das alles hast du dir selbst zuzuschreiben, weil du mich, den Herrn, verlassen hast, deinen Gott, der dich so sicher geführt hat!
Was versprichst du dir davon, nach Ägypten und Assyrien zu reisen? Willst du etwa aus dem Nil und aus dem Euphrat trinken?
Deine eigene Bosheit wird dich strafen, deine Untreue bringt dich zu Fall: Erkenne doch, wie schmerzlich und bitter es ist, daß du mich, den Herrn, deinen Gott, verlassen hast und mir keine Ehrfurcht mehr erweist. Das sage ich, der allmächtige Herr und Gott.

Jeremiah 1, 1 - 9 - 2, 17 - 19:

The words of Jeremiah son of Hilkiah, one of the priests at Anathoth in the territory of Benjamin.
The word of the LORD came to him in the thirteenth year of the reign of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah,

and through the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah king of Judah, down to the fifth month of the eleventh year of Zedekiah son of Josiah king of Judah, when the people of Jerusalem went into exile.

The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew^[1] you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

"Ah, Sovereign LORD," I said, "I do not know how to speak; I am only a child."

But the LORD said to me, "Do not say, `I am only a child.' You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.

Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you," declares the LORD.

Then the LORD reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, "Now, I have put my words in your mouth.................
(say to Jerusalem:)
.................Have you not brought this on yourselves by forsaking the LORD your God when he led you in the way?
Now why go to Egypt to drink water from the Shihor ? And why go to Assyria to drink water from the River ?

Your wickedness will punish you; your backsliding will rebuke you. Consider then and realize how evil and bitter it is for you when you forsake the LORD your God and have no awe of me," declares the Lord, the LORD Almighty.
